Pharmacoeconomic studies aimed at evaluating the cost (expressed in monetary terms) and effects (expressed in terms of monetary value, efficacy or enhanced quality of life) of a pharmaceutical product with particular reference to the study of the causes of consumption of drugs, adherence and persistence to therapy and the development of new indicators for assessing the quality of prescription.
